ISI designs, builds, installs and services material handling, conveyor and production systems for some of the biggest companies in the world. We have a 30-year+ reputation for quality and meeting deadlines.

ISI is seeking an Mechanical Assembler to work 2nd shift at our fab shop. ISI's Mechanical Assembler assemble conveyor components that are then shipped out to be installed in our customers' production and package handling lines. Following blueprints and schematics and using a variety of hand tools, including pneumatic and electric hand tools, they assemble pulleys, rollers, drives, etc., for conveyor systems. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work neatly and independently.

This position pays $20-22/hour OR MORE, depending on experience, qualifications and skills. We also offer health, dental, vision and short-term disability insurance, plus a company-matched retirement plan.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produce a quality product working within reasonably precise limits, without error, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Moving heavy steel parts with prolonged standing, bending, squatting, reaching, etc.
• May be asked to work anywhere inside the shop – or outdoors – at any time, performing any function.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Read manufacturing prints.
• Follow verbal and written instructions; work independently.
• 3 years of experience with forklift and overhead crane operation. (Must be very experienced or demonstrate a high skill level.)
• Experience in a metal fabrication shop, and with basic metal fabrication tools, is very helpful.
• Some minimal mig welding experience is helpful, but not required.
• Willingness to regularly work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Organizational skills are essential.
• Computer literacy is very helpful.

Education and Experience:

• 3 or more years of assembly experience, not assembly line, but classic shop floor mechanical/machine assembly.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 75 pounds at a time on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing, bending, squatting, reaching, etc., etc.
• Working outdoors at any time, performing any function.
